Eddie Feigner
He was born March 26, 1925. He was abandoned as a child and left on the steps of the St. Mary's Catholic Hospital in Walla Walla, Washington. His original name was Myrle Vernon King, but he got it changed to Eddie Feigner. He found he had a great talent, where he could pitch a softball faster than anyone. He died on February 9, 2007. In 1946, Eddie formed a four-man team. His team would take on any challengers in the Pacific Northwest and in 1950 the team was named “The King and His Court”. All of the games he played were against nine-man teams. Eddie’s pitching was clocked at 104 miles an hour at one point. He has entertained many crowds by pitching behind his back and through his legs. In 2000, he threw out the first pitch at the women’s softball competition at the Sydney Olympics. |

Eddie has showcased his pitching skills by striking out Major League Baseball Stars Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, Brooks Robinson, Maury Wills, Harmon Killebrew and Roberto Clemente . During his playing career, Eddie Feigner had more than 141,000 strikeouts. He pitched in 10,000+ games and had 238 perfect games. He also had 1,916 shutouts and 930 no-hitters. To finalize his resume he had a amazing 8,270 victories. |
